Arrival and Departure

The morning extended day session begins at 7:00 a.m.  Children cannot arrive prior to this time.  The afterschool extended day program ends at 6:00 p.m.  If you are unable to pick your child up on time, please make arrangements with a friend or family member, so that your child can be picked up on time.  Please make sure that the person picking up your child is listed on the information card. Students will not be released to anyone not listed on the information card. All adults must present picture I.D. daily when signing out students. Due to safety, students cannot be signed out until 3:30.

Late pick-up policy:  If a student departs after 6:00 p.m., the parent will be assessed a late charge of $1.00 per minute.  This fee will be due by the close of the next school day.  Failure to pay late pick-up fees or 3 late pick-ups and your child will be withdrawn from the program.

Payment

Payments are made prior to services being rendered.  Your payment is considered late five (5) days after the due date, and a $15.00 late fee will be assessed.  The extended day directors reserve the right to terminate services if your payment is not received by the start of the payment period.  District policy states that students may not remain in the program unless their account is paid up to date.
Checks need to be payable to Abess Park Elementary.   All checks must include name, address and telephone number imprinted on the front of the check.  Your child’s name should be included on every check.  If your check is returned for nonsufficient funds, you will receive prompt notification from Check-Redi.  Payments need to be made to the Extended Day Director during extended day hours.  The main office or classroom teachers cannot accept Extended Day Payments. All payments must be made during extended day hours.  When paying with cash, please remember that Extended Day does not keep cash on hand and therefore cannot make change.
Students enrolled in the middle of a payment period will pay for the remaining number of weeks in the payment period.  There are no daily rates.  Payments are based on 180 school days.  Fees do not include holidays, teacher planning days, etc.  The last day of school is a half-day.  There will be no afternoon extended day on the last day of school, June 10, 2016.
Online payments will be available starting September 2015. Please see parent flyer for account information.
